Children of the Forest

In contrast to Pelle, which introduces children to a practical Earth, Children of the Forest affirms the life children experience (and adults usually miss) within the stillness of the forest floor. Here are the little people who wear acorn caps and spin yarn from cotton grass. Their adventures range from meetings with animals both friendly and fierce to encounters with fairies to a romp in the new winter’s snow. A truly great story!
